Colds, Sore Throats & Flu

Our advice is to drink plenty of fluids and rest. Aspirin or Paracetamol and a decongestant may help. IF you have a sore throat, it may help to gargle dissolved soluble aspirin. Antibiotics have no beneficial effect on these viral illnesses.

Influenza is a potentially serious illness but does not affect most fit and healthy people in the same way that it affects the infirm or elderly. ‘Flu is severe enough to make you take to your bed and leaves you tired and rundown for a few days after which you begin to feel better. Unfortunately, there is little that can be done to speed up recovery. Treat the same as above.
