Head Lice

Head lice are very common in children and adults.

Lice are easily detected by fine tooth combing really wet hair. Search in their favourite places; behind ears, under fringes, in eyebrows.

If you find lice it is essential that you comb and brush the hair at least twice a day, this will injure the lice and they will quickly die – this is most important way of treatment and prevention of head lice. We do not feel that chemical medication is effective in the treatment of head lice. Therefore, we do not issue prescriptions for this type of treatment. There are some alternative treatments which are very effective.
