Access to NHS Dentistry in Suffolk and North East Essex
If you do not currently have a dentist, use the Find a dentist – NHS website to locate NHS practices near you. This is updated regularly.
Urgent or Emergency Dental Care
If you have dental pain or need urgent treatment, contact NHS 111 (online or by phone). Urgent appointments are available seven days a week across Suffolk and North East Essex for both adults and children.
Dental Priority Access and Stabilisation Service (DPASS)
DPASS provides dental care for people who may find it difficult to access a dentist, including those who are homeless, in care, or have additional needs. Appointments can be arranged via NHS 111 or by contacting participating practices directly.
Special Dental Care
Community Dental Services in both Suffolk and North East Essex provide care for children and adults with additional needs who cannot access general dental practices. Referrals can be made by a dentist or, in certain cases, by other health or social care professionals.
